well assuming anyone is bothering to read this, hello, and welcome to Friday. I was intending to do a skit today about relationships but in the end decided that that one is best left for Monday. So what to talk about in the meantime? Well whilst eating my sausage and cheese wrap I went browsing sites looking for anniversaries for today. I found several worth noting. For the music lovers reading this today in 1963 the Beatles recorded the ten tracks for their first album. In world events in 1945 FDR, Churchill and Stalin signed the Yalta agreement. In 1970 Japan launched their first satellite into space, becoming the 4th country to do so. In 1986 the Iran Iraq war began on this day with an offensive by Iran. But on a more positive note today marks the 20th anniversary of Nelson Mandela's release from prison after 27 years.
In birthdays I managed to find 4 important ones. George Washington in 1732, Thomas Edison in 1847, Baroness Sharples in 1923 and Michael Jackson Jr in 1997. You may well now be wondering who Baroness Sharples was, and in all honesty I have no idea. I just like her name.
So that's todays blog, not much I know but then not much has happened since yesterday as far as I know, I forgot to buy a paper. So if you have any suggestions on topics you'd like bringing up feel free to leave them in the comment box. I'm also starting a comment question of the day, so if you have any interesting or amusing answers please feel free to comment those too.
So readers, What have you been drinking?
